If you are planning on going on an overnight camping event first check the table below to find out how far in advance you need to turn in your Overnight Form and/or any other forms you may need to have turned in.

Field Trip/Progression 1 Travel

Progression 1 includes any activity outside of the Girl Scout Troop/Group's regular meeting location, time and date. Taking a day trip to camp grounds.

Overnight/Progression 2 Travel Form

One-night to two-night troop overnight in OR or WA and any VISTA overnight event. Girl Scout leaders must submit form to VISTA Girl Activity Coordinator. Girl Activity Coordinator approves, sends copy to troop and Girl Scout Office.

 

     Note: Before turning in your Overnight form check to make sure your First Aider attending information is filled in, Troop Camping Certified Adult attending is filled in and that you have a Girl Signature on your form.

4 weeks Girl Activity Coordinator, Membership & Program Manager
Intent to Travel Form This form must be submitted to the GS Office before: Money earning activities related to the trip are approved and undertaken. Approval is granted of Progression 3 or 4 Travel Form 4-6 weeks Girl Activity Coordinator, Membership & Program Manager
Extended Travel / Progression 3 (Domestic) & Progression 4 (International) Extended Overnight Trips from 3 nights or more within the continental United States.  “Intent to Travel Form” already on file. Girl Scout leader submits form to VISTA Girl Activity Coordinator. Girl Activity Coordinator approves, sends copy to troop and Girl Scout council Office. 4 weeks Council Travel Coordinator
Extended Travel / Progression 3 (Domestic) & Progression 4 (International)

International travel refers to international Trips. This includes travel to Vancouer, B.C, Victoria, Alaska & Hawaii - girls ages 11 and older may travel to these locations provided they have appropriate progression. “Intent to Travel Form” already on file.Girl Scout leader submits form to VISTA Girl Activity Coordinator. Girl Activity Coordinator approves, sends copy to troop and Girl Scout council Office.
