| 5 great Lip
Gloss Recipes choose from below
Lip Gloss
5 Tbsp. sweet almond,
jojoba, or vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. beeswax
2 tsp. pure liquid honey
10 drops essential oil or flavoring oil of your choice (optional) (I usually use
only the honey or add candy flavoring oil)
Containers found at craft store
Yields: approximately 3 ounces
Melt oil and beeswax over low heat until wax is melted. Remove from heat. Add
honey (and flavor, if using it) right after the oil and beeswax have melted and
mix thoroughly. Stir the mixture occasionally while it cools. The consistency
should be like
petroleum jelly when ready to pour into containers. Put the pot
back on the burner on minimum after each (or every second) container has been
filled to keep it from cooling and separating.

Lip Gloss
SUPPLIES:
Paraffin wax
Coconut oil
Petroleum jelly
Candy melts (to color
the gloss and make it taste sweet)
oil based candy
flavoring (if you want a special flavor)
Grater
wax paper
measuring spoons
zip-lock bags
Large Bowl
Scissors
small containers (one
for each girl, 1/2oz. size is best).
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ask an adult to help you grate some paraffin wax onto wax paper. Measure 1/4
teaspoon grated wax into the plastic bag. Add 1 teaspoon coconut oil, 1
teaspoon petroleum jelly, and 1 candy melt. Add 1/8 teaspoon oil based candy
flavoring if you like. Seal the bag. Carefully put it in a bowl of hot tap
water to melt ingredients (3 to 5 minutes). Change the water if it cools. Use
only hot tap water. Never use a microwave or stove to heat. While you're
waiting wash the small container with soap and water. Dry completely. Remove the
bag from water. Squish ingredients around in bag to mix. Work quickly.
Clip off a tiny corner of the bag and squeeze gloss into the container. Let it
set for an hour, or put it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Use cotton
swab instead of your finger to apply gloss. Your lip gloss should last a long
time. If it changes color, odor, or texture, though, throw it away.
