Sunset Oaks VISTA Service Patch

Requirements:

1. Complete a total of 5 service projects, with at least one service project completed from each of the following categories:

   • Service to Community: Litter clean-up, tree planting, flower planting, camp clean up, decorating local businesses, aid to schools, etc

   • Service to Girl Scouts: Helping with VISTA events, helping council, helping a younger troop with an activity or event, marching in a parade representing Girl Scouts, etc

   • Service to People: Food Drives, clothing drives, reading to shut-ins, grandparent adoption, special group adoption, toy drives, serving on food lines, etc.

   • The remaining 2 service projects may be in any of the above areas

    

2. Submit in writing to the VISTA

   1. What your service projects were

   2. Who participated in each project

   3. The cost, if any, of the project

After the initial 5 service projects are completed, you may earn service stars to go around the patch. Each star requires 3 additional service projects from any of the above 3 service areas.
